Paratha is one of the most popular breakfasts in Asia. It’s very delicious, easy to make, and healthy as well.
This paratha can be served with any kind of vegetables, meat, and sweets.
Today, I will show you one of the easiest ways to make a paratha.
Let’s start the exploration.
Prep Time: 5 mins
Resting Time: 20 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins
Ingredients
All-purpose flour- 3 cup
Salt- 1 tsp
Sugar- 1 tsp
Hot water as you need
Oil & flour (for layer)- 1 tbsp
Oil or ghee for fry
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, and sugar. Then, add hot water and knead well to form a dough. The consistency of the dough should be just like pizza dough, not too soft or not too hard. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes knead the dough again. Roll the whole dough until thin. Spread melted ghee or oil and sprinkle dry flour. Now fold it and cut into the dough 5 equal size.
Take one roll, flatten it, and then roll it into a circle. Don’t make the paratha too thin or too thick. Use some flour to help you roll. Repeat for all the remaining 4 portions.
Heat a griddle or tawa until it’s piping hot. Lower the heat to medium-high, place a paratha on the griddle, and wait until bubbles appear.
Flip over the paratha and lightly brush some oil on the surface. When the underside is cooked and golden-brown spots appear, flip over once more and cook for a few more seconds or until golden spots appear.
Serve with meat, vegetables, or any kind of sweets right away.
Enjoy your meal!
